Anjum Fakih Biography

Anjum Fakih is a television actress and model, associated with Hindi entertainment industry. MTV's Chat House, Devanshi, Time Quake and Tere Sheher Mein are some of her popular shows, and she played the antagonist in Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani. A successful model she is also a recipient of "Ford Super Model" title. Since 2017 she plays the role of Srishti Arora in the popular TV series, Kundali Bhagya aired on ZEE TV. This actress and super model is known for playing supporting and negative roles on small screen since the beginning of her career in the entertainment industry.

She was born on September 12, 1987 in Ghatkopar. At the age of 15, she decided to become a model in the industry. She belongs to a conservative Muslim family. Yet she decided to pursue her dreams. As a child she wore burkha as per religious customs. But later she decided to wear what she wants. She took away all her salwars and burkhas and dumped them, and when told her dreams to her mother, she didn’t receive a positive nod. In her family, women were not allowed to come out of their burkhas before visitors at home or strangers, and Anjum had to leave her home to pursue a career in modelling industry. Eventually she succeeded and became a super model, and her mother’s views too changed after her success.

She started her acting career with Tere Sheher Mein aired in Star Plus, and later got a few more noted supporting roles on small screen. She shot to fame after playing the role of Rani Rageshwari in period drama Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani. Though her role was negative, the role gave her instant fame and a few more meaty roles from television industry.
