Anjhula Mya Bais Biography

Anjhula Mya Bais is a former Indian model, who currently is a life coach and international psychologist. Bais is also known to be a feminist with her views, and also a social activist. She is the youngest chair of Amnesty International Malaysia, and has been selected as one of the 127 Young Global Leaders Class of 2019 by World Economic Forum, most recently. She is a royal Rajput, and married business magnate Hari Selvanathan’s son Satish Selvanathan in 2014, and the couple has adopted one son. She lives in Malaysia with her husband.

Anjhula Mya Bais graduated from University College London. She started her modelling career at the age of 18 at a campaign of Banana Republic in New York. She was quite active in modelling during her college days and was awarded the “Miss Teen India” while studying at college. She was also a ramp model those days. She got opportunity to feature as a ramp model for London Fashion Week in those days. She also contested in Miss India contest and finished among top 20.

After retiring from active modelling career, Bais started her career as a refugee psychotherapist while studying for masters at University College London. She holds Doctorate in International Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She also once visited Dalai Lama in Mumbai in 2015. She practices Nichiren Buddhism since 2005.

She adopted a six-year-old Rwandan boy, Kevin in 2011. She quotes it to be a life-changing experience. His mom and dad have abandoned him, and his dad was very abusive. Her husband completely trusted her decision. She originally belongs to Rajasthan. She also studied at Lady Shri Ram College.
