Anish Bhanwala Biography 
Anish Bhanwala is an Indian Shooter from Karnal Haryana. He is a part of Indian shooter team since 2017, and has represented India for various international championships such as 2018 Commonwealth Games (Australia), ISSF Junior World Championship 2017 (Suhl), Commonwealth Shooting Championships 2017 (Brisbane), ISSF World Cup 2018 (Guadalajara) and ISSF Junior World Cup 2018 (Sydney). He competes in the 25 meter rapid fire pistol, 25 meter pistol, and 25 meter standard pistol events. Sensational and budding shooter aged 15, Anish Bhanwala won India's 16th gold to surpass Glasgow tally at CWG 2018. Thus Anish Bhanwala has become India's youngest CWG gold medalist. It’s his debut in Common Wealth Games as well.
Anish Bhanwala was born on September 26, 2002 in Kashandi village, Sonipat of Haryana and currently he is settled in Karnal. He has no sports background. Yet his parents supported him with whole heart in the field of sports. He got full support from his father, who borrowed him a pistol to shoot at a range in a school in Karnal. To get best facilities for practice, the family moved to Delhi in 2014.
While participating in modern pentathlon events, he decided to choose shooting as his profession. He represented the country at U-12 modern pentathlon World Championships in 2013 and Asian modern pentathlon Championships in 2015, and among the five sports of modern pentathlon, shooting remains his favourite.
In ISSF Junior World Championship 2017, Suhl, Anish won two gold, two silver and one bronze for India. In 2017 Commonwealth Shooting Championships he won silver in 25m Rapid Fire Men. In ISSF Junior World Cup 2018, Sydney he won one individual gold and one team silver in 25m Rapid Fire Junior Men. In 2018 CWG, he became the youngest Indian player to snatch a gold, at the age of only 15. In 2018, Mahindra Scorpio TOISA awarded him with ‘Emerging Player of the Year’award.
