Anil Ravipudi Biography

Anil Ravipudi is a film director, dialogue writer and screenwriter associated with Telugu cinema. He marked his film journey as a dialogue writer before moving to screen writing and direction fields. As a dialogue writer he started off his journey in the year 2008 and Souryam, Sankham, Kandireega, Masala etc are some of his early projects in this role. He worked as Script & Dialogue Writer for two movies – Kandireega and Aagadu, and also scripted Pandaga Chesko. He made his directorial debut with Pataas (2015). He directed three more movies – Supreme (2016), Raja The Great (2017) and F2 - Fun & Frustration (2018). Film director P. A. Arun Prasad is his uncle.

Anil Ravipudi was born in Chilukurivari Palem of Eddanapudi, Prakasam District, Andhra Pradesh. His father retired as RTC driver. He completed his engineering course in the year 2004. Soon after graduation, he joined his uncle P. A. Arun Prasad as an assistant director in films. After assisting his uncle for a few years, he began his career as a dialogue writer in 2008, and later turned a screen writer and film director. He earned got good recognition in the industry after working for 'Kandireega' as a dialogue writer and screenwriter. He travelled with director Santosh Srinivas right from the scripting stage for that film.

In 2015, he directed his first film, Pataas, which opened to positive reviews and positive response from box office. He wrote the blue print of the script while working on Kandireega, and the movie starred Kalyan Ram in an entirely new avatar. He continued success strike by scripting and directing a few more hit films in Telugu. Raja The Great released in 2017 too was a major hit.
