Angad Bedi Biography

Angad Bedi is an actor, TV host, commentator and model, who predominantly works in Bollywood. He played the role of Niranjan aka "Nanj" Nair in 2011 sleeper hit F.A.L.T.U. The delayed project “Ungly” is his upcoming project, where he works aside an ensemble star cast of Emraan Hashmi, Kangana Ranaut, Randeep Hooda and Neil Bhoopalam. Regular in television shows, Angad has also appeared in the popular cooking show called Cook Na Kaho on Star One and best known as the television host of  Emotional Atyachar on UTV Bindass. He has also participated on Colors' show Khatron KeKhiladi. He is the son of former Indian cricketer, Bishan Singh Bedi.


Angad was born on February 6, 1983 in Chandigarh, Punjab. He schooled at Bishop Cotton School in Shimla and graduated from St. Stephen's College, Delhi. Though he tried to become a cricketer like his father Bishan Singh Bedi, he later landed into the field of modelling and entertainment. He played cricket while at school. He started off as a model and later landed to the world of television. He made his acting debut on small screen with Kaya Taran, adoption of a short story written by N. S. Madhavan and later hosted many television shows too. 


The controversial show Emotional Atyachar on UTV Bindass is his most successful show as a TV host, though he was later replaced by Pravesh Rana. He quit the show when he got a film offer of Vashu Bhagnani’s Vashu Bhagnani, as his dates for the show clashed with the shoot dates for his debut film. He played male lead Prithvi in Sagar Arts' new period drama titled Legend of Prithvi for Star Plus.
