Amanda Rosario Biography

Amanda Rosario is a British Indian actress who appears in Bollywood films as well as Tamil films. Her mother is of Indian origin, and she was brought up in UK. She was seen in a small role in 2009 Saif Ali Khan starrer - Love AajKal, following by an item number in 2013 film - Once Upon a Time in Mumbai Dobaara!. Her acting debut happened with the 2016 Tamil film – Saagasam. The movie that got released in February 2016 was a remake of Telugu film Julai (2012). She played the female lead opposite Prashanth in her debut flick which received mixed reviews. The movie also starred ThambiRamaiah, Vamsi Krishna and AbiSaravanan in pivot roles.

Her real name is Amanda Pegrum. She was born in 1989 in Ilford, London, UK. Her mother is of Indian origin, while her father is a British. She was brought up in UK. She showed interest in dance and acting and for the same reason she enrolled at The Centre Performing Arts College in 2006. Two years later she joined Arts Educational Schools in London as a dance teacher starting her professional innings. Later she started accepting modelling assignments of leading brands like Perfect Asian and Pizza Hut, and also appeared in TV commercials.

In 2009, she showed her face in Bollywood as DeepikaPadukone's friend in Love AajKal (2009), a bit role. Then she joined BBC Asian Network as a choreographer and a freelancer performer for stage shows. Very soon she received an item song in 2013 gangster film - Once Upon a Time in Mumbai Dobaara! In 2015 she signed as lead actress for Tamil film – Saagasam.
