Akul Tripathi Biography

Akul Tripathi is an actor and writer associated with Hindi entertainment industry. He is best known for the supporting roles he played in Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani (2009), Lootere: Bandits of British India (2016) and Lootere: Bandits of British India (2016 – Mini TV series). He played the noted role of Kunnu in Ranbir Kapoor starrer 2009 super hit romantic comedy, Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani and the movie gave him big break to his acting career. He earlier appeared in Sonpari (TV Series) in 2001. He appears in big screen and small screen roles. He has also worked as content curator in television industry, and has hosted one show named Ekant.

 

Akul Tripathi started his professional career in late 1990s. In 1999 he started his career as a child actor on small screen before moving to adult roles later. He was first seen as a child artist in “Saans” starring Kanwaljit Singh and Neena Gupta, and he played their son’s role named Akul. Anu Kapoor also played a pivot role in the series. In 2001, Akul featured in a few episodes of a child based TV series titled “Sonpari”. His role as Bunty, a friend of the protagonist got noticed. The show was popular and favorite among the kids.

 

Later he moved on to adult roles, and mostly plays supporting roles. He appeared in a History based show, Ekant on The Epic Channel in the first season as a host/guide. It is a Travel based show focused on India and takes its viewers through the abandoned locations of Indian roads, alleys, forts, deserts, etc. He appeared as guide of the show, taking people to different historic locations.
