Akhil Akkineni Biography 
Akhil Akkineni is an upcoming actor of Telugu film industry. But he is better known as the son of star couple - Akkineni Nagarjuna and Amala. He is the grandson of actor and film producer Akkineni Nageswara Rao. His elder half-brother Naga Chaitanya is also an actor. Started his career as a child artist in 1995 with Sisindri, he took a break of almost two decades to make his adult debut through - Akhil: The Power of Jua, a socio-fantasy film directed by V. V. Vinayak. However the movie with mixed reviews was a box office failure. Earlier he did a cameo role for V. V. Vinayak’s Manam in 2014, aside Bollywood star Amitabh Bachchan. Interestingly this movie is Big B’s Telugu debut too.
Akhil Akkineni was born into the illustrious film family of Akkineni Nageswara Rao as his grandson. He was born as the younger son of Akkineni Nagarjuna and Amala in San Jose, California in 1995. At the age of one, he made his film debut as a child artist for the Telugu version of popular Hollywood film - Baby's Day Out. The movie titled Sisindri (1995) was a hit and Akhil excelled in his role as a baby. But Akhil was never seen as a child artist in movies later and he concentrated on to his studies. In 2010, he started his career as a cricketer associated with celebrity cricket matches. He played with Nag Kings team in the celebrity Tollywood Trophy and managed to win both the man-of-the-match and man-of-the-series awards in the finals. In 2011, he joined Telugu Warriors and in 2015, he became the team captain.
As he excelled as a cricketer in celebrity matches, speculations were high about his film debut. He denied all those rumours till 2013. He made a cameo appearance aside his father, elder brother and grandfather for the movie – Manam in 2014 and made his debut in a full-fledged role one year later. The movie was titled – Akhil, and he was paired with debutant Sayesha Saigal. Though he kept himself away from films for a few years, he appeared in a few television ads.
