Akash Thosar Biography 
Akash Thosar is a Marathi film actor, who shot to fame after playing the male lead role in Marathi blockbuster Sairat in 2016. The movie went on to become the first Marathi movie to cross 100 crore rupees collection at box office. It was his debut film. His female co-star Rinku Rajguru who marked acting debut with the same movie went on to receive National award (Jury Special Mention). Akash’s role as a lover boy was also well appreciated. In 2017 he acted in his second Marathi film, FU: Friendship Unlimited. He was seen in 2018 net series, Lust Stories, and Akash is to mark his Bollywood debut with Gully Boy in 2019.
Akash Thosar was born on 24 February 1994 in Jeur, Maharashtra. His native place belongs to Solapur. Akash was a wrestler before coming to movies in 2016. His entry to movies was just accidental, and far away from imagination. He was spotted at a railway station in Solapur by Bharat Manjule, brother of Nagraj Manjule, who asked Akash to attend the audition for Sairat. Akash attended the audition and got selected for the lead role in Sairat, directed by Nagraj Manjule. With the huge success of the movie, the actor shot to instant fame, though Rinku’s performance was appreciated most.
In 2017 he played lead role in Mahesh Manjrekar’s Marathi film, FU: Friendship Unlimited, and he shared screen space with Vaidehi Parashurami, Sanskruti Balgude, Satya Manjrekar, and Mayuresh Pem for the movie. He appeared in Anurag Kashyap's segment in the popular web series, Lust Stories in 2018, where he essayed the role of Tejas. Akash received Filmfare Awards Marathi 2017 for best male debut for the movie, Sairat.
