Aishwarya Menon Biography

Aishwarya Menon, also known as Akshara Menon is a south Indian film actress who concentrates on Kannada and Tamil movies. Menon's family hails from Kannur, Kerala. But she was brought up in Erode, Tamil Nadu. As an actress, she is known for her debut movie as a heroine in Theeya Velai Seiyyanum Kumaru released in 2013. Same movie was released in Telugu titled ‘Something Something’. Before that she appeared in a bit role in a bilingual film - titled Kadhalil Sodhappuvadhu Yeppadi in Tamil and Love failure in Telugu, both released on February 17, 2012. Her recent release was Dasavala, a Kannada drama where she played lead role opposite Prem.

She was born and brought up in Erode, Tamil Nadu, though she is of Kerala origin. She was born on May 8, 1992 and her real name is Akshara Menon. She is a trained classical dancer of Bharatnatyam. She completed matriculation from Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Erode in 2008, followed by B. Tech Engineering course from SRM University, Chennai in 2012. After Engineering she was selected to Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and got a good salary job. But she heard her inner voice to choose films as her first love. She has been active in theatre and music since school days.

She first appeared in Tamil romantic comedy, Kadhalil Sodhappuvadhu Yeppadi which starred Siddharth and Amala Paul in the lead roles. The movie was declared a hit. But it was Theeya Velai Seiyyanum which placed her as a heroine of south Indian cinema. Her recent Tamil release in Apple Penne. Now she looks forward to work in Malayalam movies as well with the mega stars as well as young heroes.
