Abi Saravanan Biography

Abi Saravanan is a budding film actor associated with Tamil cinema, known for essaying character roles as well as lead roles. He made his film debut with 2012 highly praised film – Attakathi and was later seen in the movies, Touring Talkies, Kutti Puli, Kerala Nattilam Pengaludane etc. Saahasam (2016) was his recent release. With a promising career ahead, this budding actor has signed a series of Tamil movies - Plus or Minus, Iraayan, Andha Oru Naal, Nadakkam, Pattadhaari etc. He played the title role in Kerala Nattilam Pengaludane, where he shared scree space with Gayathri, Deekshita, Abirami, Gnanasambandham, Renuka etc. This bilingual film was directed by S.S. Kumaran.

Abi holds an Engineering degree. Yet his passion to movies prompted him to try his luck in the magic world of cinema. He bagged his first role in the comedy film – Attakathi in 2012 followed by Kutti Puli. These two minor roles helped him to bag the first movie in lead role in the romantic comedy - Kerala Nattilam Pengaludane. He played the title role of Unnikrishnan and had three heroines — Gayathri, Abirami and Deekshita. Plus or Minus is his upcoming flick starring Abi Saravanan, Gayatri, and Jaishree. Abi plays the male lead in this film.

In 2015 Tamil anthology film - Touring Talkies with simultaneous portrayal of three different stories, he played the pivot role of young Anthony. The senior’s role was done by S. A. Chandrasekhar, who also scripted, produced and directed the movie. Saahasam – was his recent release, in which he played a supporting role. The film was shot in Shimla and Rajasthan. His upcoming horror film Irayan is made by Saravanan Periasamy.
