Abhishek Vinod Biography

Abhishek Vinod is a film actor associated with Tamil cine industry. Vinod started off his career as a model before foraying into films. He started with supporting roles and later promoted to lead roles. Jeethu Joseph's Papanasam (2015) gave him a breakthrough in Tamil cinema, and his role in the most recent film Sketch also earned him a lot of appreciation. He played the role of Shakthivel, a cop in this film. Mannar Vagaiyara is his recent film release. Aan Devathai is his coming movie. Kadavul Paathi Mirugam Paathi, Inimey Ippadithan, Veruli and Malayalam flick Casanovva co-staring Mohanlal are other movies of this model-turned-actor.

Abhishek Vinod was born in Chennai in 1980. He completed his BBA course from Madras University. He began his career in modelling in 2004 soon after his academics. Abhishek worked in advertisements and the modelling circuit in Chennai. He has been modelling for 14 years and cinema happened all of a sudden. He got his first film role in the year 2012 through a Malayalam film, Casanova where Mohanlal played the lead role. The movie was terribly a flop at box office and his role went unnoticed. He had to wait for a couple of more years to get his next role in films.

He marked his Tamil film debut in the year 2015. Kadavul Paathi Mirugam Paathi was his debut flick.  He was seen playing a supporting role in this unnoticed flick. It was followed by Inimey Ippadithan before Kamal Hassan starrer Papanasam happened the same year. He played the brief role of Kamal’s brother-in-law, Thangaraj in the film. Though his role was small, people started recognizing him and it also helped him to bag more roles from Tamil cinema. He played a cop with negative shades in the recent release, Sketch. His performance received rave reviews.
