Abeni Aadhi Biography

Abeni Aadhi is a child artist associated with Malayalam cinema. She bagged her first state award for best actor for the role of Ambili in Kochavva Paulo Ayyappa Coelho, released in 2016. This 9-year old young actress stole everyone’s heart playing Appu’s cousin in the film. It’s Abeni’s film debut, and the movie also fared well at box office. Earlier she has appeared in a few TV ads.

Abeni hails from Palkulangara, Thiruvananthapuram. Aadhi Balakrishnan and Aruna are her parents. Paru is her pet name. She is studying in Kendriya Vidyalaya, Pattom in fourth standard right now. Her father Aadhi Balakrishnan has also directed movies like Pranayakatha (2014). Her mother is a writer. Her father is a close director of Sidhartha Siva, the director of Kochavva Paulo Ayyappa Coelho. That’s how Abeni bagged her first film role. The movie also starred Master Rudrash, Sudeesh, Kunchakko Boban, Nedumudi Venu, Muthumani etc.

Before she made her film debut, Abeni has appeared in TV ads. Her experience in ad world opened doors for her film entry as well. She practised swimming for this role. The crucial climax scene was shot at Athirapally. During film shooting she established rapport with all the film’s crew, and they preferred to call her as Ambily, the character name of Abeni in her debut flick, Kochavva Paulo Ayyappa Coelho. The movie also marked the debut of its lead actor, Master Rudraksh Sudheesh who played Abeni’s cousin role. The whole movie revolves around these two kids, and Appu’s passion to travel in aero plane, and how he achieves the dream.

After winning state awards, Abeni is the favourite of many, and her success was celebrated by her natives as well as school. During free time, she is also interested in playing football with elders. She also loves watching movies.
