Aarthi Agarwal Biography

Aarthi Agarwal was a noted Telugu actress who passed away at a younger age in June 2015. Made her film debut with 2001 Bollywood film, Paagalpan she later moved to south Indian films and achieved success as well. Her debut Bollywood film was offered at the age of 16 where she played female lead opposite another debutant, Karan Nath - son of Bollywood producer Rakesh Nath. This actress made her debut in south Indian films through the Telugu movie with Venkatesh‘s Nuvvu Naaku Nachav in 2001. She died on June 6, 2015 following breath problems while undergoing treatment in US. Telugu film Ranam -2 was released posthumously.

She was born to a Gujarati business family in US in the year 1984. Her father is into hotel business. She has two siblings. She was spotted in a dance show in Philadelphia by Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty when she was just 14 years old. He asked Aarthi’s father to encourage her to join film scene. Two years later she debut with Bollywood flick, Paagalpan which was a box office failure. In 2001, she debut Tollywood with Nuvvu Naaku Nachav and later stayed in the industry for more than a decade. One of the successful actresses from North India, she was paired with almost all leading heroes of Telugu - Chiranjeevi, Nandamuri Balakrishna, Akkineni Nagarjuna, Mahesh Babu, Ravi Teja, and NTR Junior.

Palnati Brahmanayudu, Vasantham, Veede, Allari Ramudu, Indra, Andala Ramudu, Gorintaku, Deepavali, Nee sneham, Nenunnanu, Adavi ramudu and Bobby are her noted releases. She appeared in an item song of Chatripati. She also acted in Bambara Kannaley - Tamil film. In 2005, she attempted a suicide, but survived. In 2007 she married a US based Software Engineer, but divorced two years later. Later she lived with her parents. In May 2015, she underwent a liposuction surgery AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City, New Jersey. On June 6, 2015 she was pronounced dead on arrival. She was only 31.
