‘Chronic bachelor’ was one movie in Malayalam released in the year 2003 in which Mammootty acted as a bachelor. His character even decided that he will never marry in his life. The name ‘Chronic bachelor’ was used to address his character in this movie. It’s the case of a few Bollywood personalities also, who have always kept themselves away from the word, ‘Marriage, Children’ etc. I just leave those bachelors below 40 years and would prefer to talk about only those eligible bachelors of Bollywood who have assumed themselves to be, ‘I am kid still now’ or ‘Time has not arrived yet’.

First name is of course, Salman Khan. This muscle man has entered Bollywood in the late 80’s, and it has been a silver jubilee year since his debut. He has huge female fan crowd around and has many broken love stories as well, From Sangeetha Bijlani to the latest, Katrina Kaif. Yet, he escapes from females and marriage with a smiling face always. It seems it’s the aim of whole Bollywood and its fans to see this man ‘in chains’. That may be the reason why he keeps distance too.

According to me, second most eligible bachelor is of course Karan Johar, the successful director of romantic love stories. Yet till now, he has been never linked with any lady or heroines and maintains a clean image. He says, he never wants to get married, but would love to adopt a child. It’s his opinion and let him decide what he feels it right. After all, marriage is not at all the final destination of one’s marriage.

Now let me move to Yash Chopra’s family. Both his sons have passed 40 and still not in a mood to get engaged. Rumours have spread several times that Aditya Chopra’s and Rani Mukherjee’s marriage is already over. Let me add, Aditya Chopra is not a bachelor. He is a divorcee, single at present. Aditya Chopra’s younger son Uday Chopra has not decided yet when to marry. If news are to be believed, he will tie knot with Nargis Fakri of Rockstar fame very soon.

Before I leave, let me take one more great actor’s name. He is none other than Sanjeev Kumar of Sholay, Aandhi and Anamiks fame. When he passed away at the age of 47 due to a heart attack, he was a bachelor. It’s commonly believed that he was broken down when Hema Malini rejected his marriage proposal. Not only that, he didn’t even accept Sulakshana Pandit’s marriage proposal and she still remains unmarried!
