Vikrant Massey Biography

Vikrant Massey is a popular television actor who played male protagonist in many popular series like Balika Vadhu, Dharam Veer, Baba Aiso Varr Dhoondo and ‘V The Serial’. He is a trained contemporary dancer who worked with Shiamak Davar, and has also choreographed for many shows. In 2013, he made his film debut through Lootera, which starred Ranveer Singh and Sonakshi Sinha in lead roles. He played the role of Ranveer Singh’s friend, Devdas. He got his first Bollywood break when the director Vikramaditya Motwane saw him in one of his television serials. Most recently he replaced actor Rishabh Sinha in the serial Qubool Hai. But sources say, he may quit the show to focus on his film career.

He was born in Nagpur in 1987. Vikrant was in a serious relationship for six years and had planned his marriage. But they broke up and at present, he is dating someone and taking good time to decide for marriage. He was an assistant trainer with Shiamak Davar years back. Though he has been approached by dancing reality shows, he never showed interest. Now he is fully concentrated on his acting career. Already he is a busy actor working more than 14 hours a day.

He couldn’t get through the first audition for the movie ‘Lootera’. So, he left it. But just 10 days before the shooting of the movie, he received a call from its director asking him to join the team. Thus his film debut happened unexpectedly. Vikrant has been signed on by Zoya Akhtar for her next film Dil Dhadakne Do. Once again, he is to work with Ranveer Singh. Apart from his lead roles in Balika Vadhu, Dharam Veer, Baba Aiso Varr Dhoondo and V The Serial, he has also acted in Gumrah - End Of Innocence, Kahaan Hoon Main and Yeh Hai Aashiqui.
