Rachitha Rachu is a popular television actress of Tamil entertainment industry. She is often called by the names - Thanga Meenatchi, Sarvanan Meenakshi Mahaa etc, the name of the popular character she played on mini screen. The name is derived from Sarvanan Meenakshi, one of her popular television works, where she played the female protagonist. She is often called ‘Expression Queen’ of Tamil small screen. In 2015, she made her film debut with Tamil drama film - Uppu Karuvadu directed by Radha Mohan, and the movie received positive reviews from critics. Played the character role of Uma in the movie, she shared screen space with Nandita, Karunakaran, Narayan Lucky and Sathish Krishnan.

Rachitha was born and brought up in Chennai. She is married to Dinesh Gopalsamy. She made her television debut in the year 2013, with the television series - Ilavarasi. Rachita shot to fame after playing the lead role in the popular television series - Sarvanan Meenakshi, aired on Star Vijay. Since then she is fondly called by the name Meenakshi by her fans. Mirchi Senthil, Sreeja Chandran and Kavin are other names associated with this popular television series. Rachitha is associated with the second series of Sarvanan Meenakshi. She received 'Best Female Actor' award at Vijay Television Awards 2015.

Rachitha never thought she would make an entry to big screen. So she became extremely happy when she got her first film offer through Uppu Karuvadu, though her role is short. After her debut film, she has received many offers from Collywood and Rachu is now planning to accept a few roles for big screen. Her main hobby is gardening.
