Divyadarshini Biography

Divyadharshini is an Indian television anchor who also acts in films. She is affectionately called D.D.

 

Divyadarshini was born on 17th February 1982 in Chennai in a Brahmin family. Her father’s name is K. Neelakandan and her mother’s name is N. Srilatha. She has one sister Priyadarshini and one younger brother. She completed her schooling at Our Lady Matriculation School and C.S.I. Jessie Moses Higher Secondary School. After completing her bachelor’s degree in English literature she did her M. Phil in Travel and Tourism Management.

 

She started her career as an anchor when she was just 14 years old in the program Nutrine Mahalacto Ungal Theerpu. She got a good exposure after her acting in the film Rekkaikatiya Manasu. Since then she has acted in many films namely Naladamayanthi, Whistle, Ullam Ketkumae, Saroja and Kazhugu.

 

She has hosted number of television programs including Jodi No. 1, Boys Vs Girls, etc. She hosted the show Jodi No 1 Season 4 along with her sister. She has worked as dubbing artist for the films Saroja, Naadodigal, Goa, Bale Pandiya, Drohi, etc.

 

She lost her father when she was young and so had to earn to support her family. With her efforts she made her younger brother a pilot. She soon grew to great heights and became one of the highest paid and most sought after television anchors of Tamil Nadu.

 

She got married to Srikanth Ravichandran on June 29th, 2014.
