Sudesh Berry Biography

Sudesh Berry is a successful television actor, most known for the Doordarshan detective serial ‘Suraag’ telecasted during late 1990’s. This show was extended later with the name CID Officer with the same crew. Another top television serial of Sudesh was Raja aur Rancho, shown on Doordarshan Metro during middle 1990’s. Both these shows made him a popular television actor of 1990’s. He is also known for his supporting roles in movies like Khayal and Refugee. Latest update is that, after a break of two years he has returned to television. He will be seen in a serial killer’s role in crime thriller Arjun and an important role in Siddharth Kumar Tiwari’s upcoming epic – Mahabharata. He plays the role of Drupath, Draupathi’s father. In the successful television serial Mahabharata of 1980’s, he played a bit role of Shantanu’s son – Vichitra veera. He is also playing double role in Nikhil Sinha's 'Devon Ke Dev Mahadev'.

 

Sudesh made his debut in 1988 with Khatron Ke Khiladi. He played the lead role in flop movies Vansh and Yudhpath, both released in 1992. Nothing was remembered except the beautiful romantic song sung by SPB and Lata Mangeshkar – Aake teri baahom mein har sham lagee sinduri. He played supporting roles in all movies of J. P. Dutta based on Indian army – Border, Refugee and LOC Kargil. He has also played supporting roles in hit movies like Ghayal and Tango Charlie. Sudesh Berry resembles Shah Rukh Khan in face cut and mannerisms, though a little!

 

Apart from Raaja aur Rancho and Surag – The clue, a few of his noted television serials during 1990’s as a young actor include – Kashish, Jaan, Andaz, Mohini and Ma Shakti. During 2000’s, he appeared in character roles in television serials, Kya Hadsaa Kya Haqeeqat, Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo, Mata Ki Chowk, Dil Se Diya Vachan, Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo and Kamini Damini. Now he is back with a series of good roles after a break of two years.
