Shekar Basha Biography 
Shekar Basha is an Indian radio jockey on BIG FM 92.7 and a VJ with Gemini Music from Hyderabad. He is one of the most well established radio jockeys of India at present, who has won IRF award (Indian Excellence in Radio Award) 7 times in a row since 2007. He won it in the recent award section too in 2013, continuously winning it for 7 times – indeed a unique achievement. Shekar was awarded India radio forum's “Best Telugu RJ for the year” for a Radio Jockey in 2008, 2009, and 2011. It is India's most prestigious award for Radio Jockeys. He also introduced the word “kevvu keka”, which is now popular in the world of TV programs and films.
He was born in Kakinada on 6 July 1982 and at present resides in Hyderabad. He graduated in computer science before starting his career as a VJ in Gemini Music in the year 2005. He hosted more than 3,000 live shows on the same channel. Hi Bujji, a kids theme based TV show, and SundayHum-Sandeham, a live comedy show based on Guru-Sishya theme made him a popular television anchor. He joined Red FM 93.5 in 2006 hosting 2 shows - “Thellarindoy Mama”, a Breakfast Show and “Guroo Hoja Shuroo”. "Guroo Hoja Shuroo” earned him his first recognition in the form of The Best Program of the Year-2007 at IRF. He has also won 2 IRF awards for producing “The Best Telugu Promo” on radio in 2007 and 2010.
In August 2007 Shekar shifted from Red FM to Big FM and hosted the program “Big Sandadi”, which was previously hosted by Telugu TV anchor and film actress Jhansi. The same show was announced the Best Radio Show of the Year by IRF in 2008. "Welcome Obama" directed by Veteran Director Singeetham Srinivasa Rao marked his debut as an actor.
