Anand Mohan Zutshi Gulzar Dehlvi Biography 
Anand Mohan Zutshi Gulzar Dehlvi is a celebrated Urdu poet and scholar from Delhi. He is a veteran writer currently aged 90+. His contributions towards Urdu poetry are immensely huge that he was honored by the vice president of India on his 91st birthday. Apart from being a famous poet, he is a well-known Urdu scholar too, with deep knowledge in this language. He owns many popular ghazals to his credit, and Love, Philosophy and Mysticism are his favourite subjects. He is active and leading a simple life. Today national and international mushhairas (poet gatherings) are incomplete without his presence.
Anand Mohan Zutshi Gulzar Dehlavi was born on 7 July 1926 in Old Delhi’s Gali Kashmeerian. His father, Pandit Tribhuvan Nath ‘Zar’ Dehlavi was a renowned teacher who taught Urdu and Persian languages at the Delhi University for around 4 decades. Both his parents were Urdu poets. Thus Anand inherited the writing skills from his parents. Anand studied from Ramjas School and BVJ Sanskrit School. He did his Masters in Arts from Hindu College. He also passed Adeeb Fazil and Munshi Fazil examinations of Anjuman Taraqqi Urdu Hind, Panjab University. He was closely associated with Baba-e-Urdu Maulvi Abdul Haq and Allama Datatrya Kaifi.
He served as the first editor of the first Urdu science magazine named "Science Ki Dunya," which was launched in 1975. In fact he was in the forefront who raised the voice for starting a science magazine in Urdu, when government gave importance to science magazines in English and Hindi. He fought for long 12 years to convince government with his demand. He has been quite active in Urdu mushairas, conventions, conferences, seminars and receptions for many decades.
