Chandra Prabha Sanctuary is one of the most beautiful picnic spots and is noted for its scenic waterfalls namely Rajdari and Devdari that attracts more and more people every day. The sanctuary was established in May 1957 and the Asiatic lions were brought into it in 1958. Slowly the lion population started to increase and at present there are wide varieties of wild animals found here including blackbucks, chital, sambhar, nilgai, porcupine and Indian gazelle. Apart from them there are some reptiles and birds also found here.
