Thiruvallam is a beautiful town that is famous for the ancient Parashuram Temple. The temple is located on the banks of the River Karamana and it believed to be more than 1400 years old. A memorial for the principal deity is built of granite stone here. In the Thiruvallam backwaters there are many attractions such as water sports, canoe rides, village cruises and floating bridge. It is at this place that the River Killi and River Karamana meet.
