Rajivalochana Temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The name literally means the one with beautiful eyes. The temple stands as a fine example of Mahakosala architecture. It has 12 pillars on which are carved the beautiful figures of Lord Vishnu, Lord Narasimha, Lord Rama and Goddess Durga. This temple was built in 8th century at the bank of the confluence of the three rivers namely Mahanadi, Pairy and Sondhu. The chaitya arch window motif of the temple and the sculptures of the snake goddesses in the entrance of the shrine are the notable features.
