Pandavleni Caves are Viharas and is the holy spot for Buddhists. They are located in the southern part of Nashik. They belong to the time period of 400 BC to 1200 AD. They have the idols of Buddha, Ambikadevi, Veer Manibhadraji and Bodhisatva. There are steps to reach the top of the hill where the caves are located. Some of the caves are large and have many chambers and some are very small in size. They have sculptures carved on their walls that interest people. Though there are inscriptions on many caves only a few of them are legible.
