Panchavati is a pilgrimate spot near Nashik that is located in the forest of Dandakaranya where Lord Rama was said to live with his wife and brother during their exile period. There are five Banyan trees found on the banks of the River Godavari. The place is said to have a tradition of five thousand years old.
