Mangi Tungi is a famous place of pilgrimage in Nashik. The place has two hills named Mangi and Tungi and many inscriptions more than 400 years old are found here. There are seven old temples on this hill and there is a pond here named Krishna Kund. Balbhadra Cave with the idols of Balram and others is located here. Tungi hill has five temples and two of them are called Chandraprabhu and 8th Teerthankar. The other one is Ram Chandra Cave and the idols of Hanuman, Gava, Gavaksha and Neel are seen. The attractive images of Yaksha and Yakshini and Indra are carved on the rocks of these hills.
