Nagpur Climate in Summer Season
Nagpur has a hot summer with dry winds that make the climate even hotter. The temperature goes beyond 40 degree Celsius during noon times. The harsh climate with little or no winds discourages tourists and so it is better to avoid visiting the place at this time. Sometimes the climate reaches as high as 49 degree Celsius and so it is not the good time to get into the city.
Nagpur Climate in Winter Season
During the winter months of November to February, the climate dips to as low as 10 degree Celsius. However the climate is pleasant with good sunshine during daytime. The nights are comparatively cooler and this is the right time to visit Nagpur. The air is calm and dry during this time making it ideal for tourism.
Nagpur Climate in Monsoon Season
Nagpur receives good amount of rainfall from June to September. The average annual rainfall of Nagpur is 1112 mm. July is the wettest months getting more than 300 mm of rainfall followed by August. The rainfall comes as a relief for the hot summer. The sky remains cloudy most of the time and the continuous rainfall restricts tourist activities.
