Lalitha Mahal Palace is the second largest palace in Mysore and is situated near Chamundi Hills. It was built in 1921 by Krishnaraja Wodeyar IV and this was modeled on the St. Paul’s Cathedral in London. The palace is painted in pure white with landscaped gardens all around. The palace was built in the renaissance architectural style and reflects the manor houses of England. This has been converted into heritage hotel in 1974 but still its ambience is preserved.
