Mysore Climate in Summer Season

 

The summer season in Mysore starts in March and continues till the end of May. The land becomes very hot and there are marked variations in temperature between day and night. The pre-monsoon thunderstorms come as a relief and they reduce the temperature to some extent. The maximum temperature in summer is 34 degree Celsius and the minimum temperature is 20 degree Celsius.

 

Mysore Climate in Winter Season

 

In cold weather season, the climate in Mysore is cool and moist and it is comparatively dry. Though the temperature is lesser than that in the hot weather seasons, the average temperature does not reach below 16 degree Celsius. The maximum temperature of Mysore in winter is 31 degree Celsius and the minimum is 16 degree Celsius.

 

 

Mysore Climate in South West Monsoon Season

 

The southwest monsoon season in Mysore starts in June and continues till the end of September. The place gets heavy rainfall during this time and so tourist activities are not advised. The average annual rainfall is 760 mm and the rainfall is more in the western part of the district than the east.

 

Mysore Climate in North East Monsoon Season

 

The northeast monsoon season starts in October and continues till December. The rainfall is not as intense as during the southwest monsoon and the place gets some rains especially in its eastern part.
