The Ambedkar Memorial was originally named as Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar Samajik Parivartan Preteek Sthal. It was constructed with red sandstone at an estimation of seven billion rupees. There are many statues here depicting the biography of Ambedkar and the sanctum sanctorum has four doors in opposite directions. The whole construction is in the shape of a flower with four petals. The main entrance has 62 elephant statues on either side.
