Lucknow Climate in Summer Season
Summers are hot and though it starts in Mid March it becomes intense in April. June is the hottest month. The hot dry winds called Loo blows during this time making the temperature go very high making the afternoons very uncomfortable. Occasional thunderstorms also occur during summer.
Lucknow Climate in Winter Season
Winter season in Lucknow starts in late November and lasts till February. Winters are cool and dry and the streets are covered in with thick fog often during the early mornings screening the visibility. Winter nights are very cold as the climate drops to as low as 2 degree Celsius sometimes. So, woolen clothes are necessary during these times.
Lucknow Climate in Monsoon Season
Rainfall during monsoon season comes as a relief for the high summer temperature. It makes the climate cool and pleasant. But it also makes it difficult for outdoor activities and so it is not good for tourist purposes. The level of humidity remains high during these times. The average annual rainfall of Lucknow is 896 mm and most of the rainfall is received from the south west monsoon winds. August is the wettest month.
