Jama Masjid is situated at Leh and is the popular place of worship of the Sunni Muslims. It was constructed in the year 1666 – 1667. The construction was done as per the agreement between the Mughal Emperor Aurangazeb and the then Ladakh ruler Deldan Namgyal. The mosque has beautiful stone carving that makes it a place of visit. However it is opened only to men.
