Nearby Attractions in Leh

There are many places of visit in Leh. Though this is a cold desert, it has its own heritage. Leh is famous for its palaces, forts and monasteries. Reaching Leh would be a tedious task but it is worth visiting. You can find a number of Buddhist monasteries at Leh and many of them are established few centuries back. Some of them are in ruins and some are well maintained. These monasteries have their own history and monks live at this place. The snow filled land itself is the main attraction of people of India who live in hot places.
