Surinsar Lake is noted for its tranquil atmosphere and scenic beauty. It is covered by hilly terrains and thick forests and offers enchanting view with the blossomed lotus flowers. It is located on the way to Mansar Lake. The mythological story related to these lakes says that Arjuna shot an arrow that went into the earth forming Mansar Lake and came out at a place that became Surinsar Lake. So this lake is considered to be a holy place for Hindus.
