Pushkar is the site of pilgrimage of Hindus located in Ajmer district near Jaipur. Pushkar is also called Tirth Raj meaning the king of pilgrimage sites. The town is located on the shore of the Pushkar Lake.

 

There are many temples in Pushkar and the famous one among them is Brahma Temple which was constructed in 14th century. Pushkar is famous for its annual fair conducted in November. This takes place for five days and is one of the busiest times for the local people. This is one of the biggest cattle fair in India.

 

Some of the temples in Pushkar are Sri Sawai Bhoj Temple, Jagat Pita Shri Brahma Temple, Varaha Temple, Savitri Temple, Man Mahal, etc. You can enjoy camel rides here and explore the Thar Desert. You can have the enticing view of the nearby villages and see the crop harvesting during the camel safari.
