Covelong Beach is one of the beautiful beaches in the country. This was built by the Nawab of Carnatic. There is a canal that separates Covelong Beach from the main city. The important activity at this beach is the water sports.

The Fisherman’s Cove Resort of Taj Group is located in the beach. The beach is less explored and unpolluted. The French people came to Chennai through this route under the leadership of the French General Laboudonnais. The water sports like windsurfing and swimming are very famous. The scenic beauty of the land with the thick shady palm trees adds color to the location.
