Open hand is one of the important monuments in Chandigarh and it was planned by Le Corbusier. It was located in Sector 1 and has the form of giant hand which is about 14 meters high and 50 tons in weight. This has been built to convey the social message of peace and unity and this is said through the words, open to give and open to receive.
