Zain Imam Biography

Zain Imam is a popular and successful actor associated with Hindi entertainment industry. He currently plays the lead role of Neil Khanna in the popular show, Naamkarann since the show took a leap of 12 years in 2017. Aditi Rathore plays his female lead. After playing the supporting role of Abhimanyu Thakkar in Kaisi Yeh Yaariyan since 2014, he has bagged three lead roles on Indian small screen. Tashan-E-Ishq, Yeh Vaada Raha and Naamkarann are those shows, where he essayed the protagonist roles - Yuvraj Luthra, Abeer Dharmadhikari and Neil Khanna respectively.

Zain Imam hails from Iran, born on 18 May 1988. He completed MBA from Amity International Business School and also worked for a short while in professional field. However he quit his job to pursue a career in modelling and acting. Zain started his career as a model and was a ramp model for Reebok, Aldo Group and McDowell's No.1. He also appeared in a few TV commercials before he bagged his first television role through Kaisi Yeh Yaariyan in 2014. He was a part of the show till 2015. He bagged his first lead role through the show Tashan-E-Ishq in 2015, and two more lead roles - Yeh Vaada Raha and Naamkarann, he currently plays now.

He portrayed different shades in the role of Yuvraj Luthra for Tashan-E-Ishq, and he also brought several looks for each. His negative shaded character earned him Favourite Dushman at Zee Rishtey Awards 2015 and Best Actor in a Negative Role at Zee Gold Awards 2016. He portrayed 5 shades of grey in 5 months for the show, which earned him a lot of recognition. He started with playing a positive character in the show, and slowly moved to negative ones.
