Yash Dasgupta Biography

Yash Dasgupta is a successful model and television actor from Bengal, he appears in Hindi soaps. As an actor he is best known for the roles he played in Bojhena Se Bojhena, Basera and Na Aana Is Des Laado. A successful model, he is the winner of Glam King title in the Unish Kuri Streax Glam Hunt held in Kolkata and has find a place among the most desirable men of Calcutta times. Started off with Balaji Telefilms in the show called Koi Aane Ko Hai aired on Colors, Yash portrayed many memorable roles on mini screen over the years. Ketan Sanghvi in Besera was his first role that brought him to limelight.

Yash is a Bengali born to D. K. Dasgupta and Jayati Dasgupta in October 10, 1985. He is a single child to his parents. Due to his father’s transferrable job, Yash’s childhood was spent in various places across the country where he completed his education. He graduated from Madhya Pradesh. Since young he was drawn towards cultural events and he dreamt to become an actor. Started his career with modelling in Bengal, later he moved to Mumbai where he got associated with television.

Koi Aane Ko Hai aired on Colors in 2009 marked his acting debut. He appeared in two more soaps the same year – Bandhini and Basera. Basera proved to be the major break of his acting career and since then he received many good roles for television. It was followed by Na Aana Is Des Laado, Mahima Shani Dev Ki and Adaalat, before he landed into the lead role of Bojhena Se Bojhena in 2013. He played the lead role of Aranya Singha Roy in the series aired on Star Jalsa, which earned him numerous awards and nominations. Best Style Icon Male and Best Juti awards at Star Jalsha awards and Best Actor Award at Tele Academy Awards are the major awards received by him.
