Viraf Patel Biography

Viraf Patel is an Indian model and television actor. He was a sailor and was titled as The Grasim Mr. India 2005. He has been extremely successful in his association with Yash Raj Films for Indian television. Mahi Way as Shiv, Aditya Merchant and Teri Meri Love Stories as Shreshth are his most successful roles as a television actor. He has also worked as DJ, anchor and television host in many successful programs.

Viraf was born and brought up in Pune, Maharashtra. He was born on 12 June 1980. He has two elder brothers. He was encouraged by both his brothers to participate in Grasim Mr. India contest – 2005 and surprisingly he won the title of Grasim Mr. India. He was working in merchant navy while participating in Grasim Mister India Contest by Aditya Birla Group. He had already completed 5 years so. After winning Mr India contest in 2005, he became more involved with modelling and acting industry. He appeared in many campaigns, ramp shows & music videos as well. He anchored a few shows and appeared in a few television commercials also, of which the most noted one was the ad of Limca.

 
During the period 2005-2009, he has been the face of the brand Pantaloon and has done ramp walks for India Fashion week, Lakme Fashion week etc. Then he successfully made his television debut. Mahi Way in 2010 was his debut television soap. It was followed by Rishta.com and Kismat and all these three television series were for Sony Entertainment Television. In the year 2011, with the daily soap, Kismat, he became the male protagonist. He appeared as as Shreshth in Teri Meri Love Stories opposite Shilpa Anand in 2012. Ek Boond Ishq is his most recent work where he plays the role of Mritunjay Shekhawat Singh and the show is being telecasted in Life OK.
