Vinita Joshi Biography

Vinita Joshi Thakkar is a popular television actress known for portraying supporting roles. She also plays supporting roles on silver screen. Her lead role as Yamini Singh for the series Bhatak Lena Baware aired on Life OK made her a popular actress on small screen. She also played a supporting role of Asha in Bollywood film, Lakshmi (2014), a biographical social problem film which dealt with the harsh realities of human trafficking and child prostitution. She played the lead protagonist Mohi in the television series, Mohi - Ek Khwab Ke Khilne Ki Kahani aired on Star Plus during 2015-2016.

Though she doesn’t hold any acting background, she dreamt to become an actress since childhood days. She used to participate in most of the extra-curricular activities, especially debate competitions. Vinita Joshi made her debut with the television serial “Navya….. Naye Dhadkan Naye Sawaal” in 2011. She played the supporting role of Ritika Joshi, protogonist’s best friend in this TV series. She was later seen in the episodic shows - Crime Patrol and Arjun in 2012. Very soon she bagged her first noted role on television - Saraswatichandra, where she portrayed the second lead Kumari.

After that she bagged two series in lead role, Bhatak Lena Baware in 2014 and Mohi - Ek Khwab Ke Khilne Ki Kahani in 2015. Both the shows ended abruptly for low TRP ratings. Bhatak Lena Baware was aired during the period, 1 June 2014 - September 2014. It was her first show in a lead role. She played the supporting role of Maan Kunwar in the historic drama, Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap. Vinita also played supporting roles in a few Bollywood films. Though she was signed for DD's Tulsi More Angna and shot a few episodes, later she quit the show.
