Uday Ramachandran Biography 
Uday Ramachandran is a playback singer and music director from Vaikom, Kottayam district, Kerala. Uday has recorded more than 500 songs in Malayalam. It includes both film songs and non-film songs for private albums. He is also a live performer on stage in India and abroad. He has also succeeded as a Carnatic musician and a Voice Trainer. He has recorded songs for more than 10 private albums and more than a dozen of films. He recorded songs for Malayalam movies – Pretham 2, My God, 10 Kalpanakal, Police Story, Namboothiri Yuvavu @ 43, Doctor Innocent Aanu, Cappuccino, Paipin Chottile Pranayam, Kaaliyan, Premasoothram, Contessa etc.
Uday Ramachandran was born in Vaikom, Kerala. He belongs to a family of singers and musicians. There are 8 Ganabhooshanam title holders in his family, belonging to different generations. V. N. Ramachandran and V. N. Thankamani are his parents. He was initiated to the world of Carnatic music by his paternal uncle Vaikom V. N. Rajan in 1985. Later he started his academic music training at R.L.V. Music Academy, Thrippunithura. He also trained in Carnatic music from N. P. Ramaswami, and Hindustani Music from Ustad Faiyaz Khan and Mr. Mohan Kumar. He launched his own Music company, Charu Creations in 2014, and released many music albums.
Since school days he actively participated in cultural events and singing competitions and won many prizes. He also won many singing competitions during his college days. He has also won University competitions multiple times. He was the winner of light music competition at all India Universities Youth Festival 1999 National level, in Kozhikode. He was one of the finalists in first reality show "Gandharvasangeetham" in Kairali TV. He has worked as an announcer in AIR and a B-grade artist too.
