B. K. Harinarayanan Biography 
B. K. Harinarayanan is a state award winning lyricist of Malayalam cinema. Though he has been associated with Malayalam cinema for a few years he shot to fame with the romantic chartbuster song, "Jeevamshamayi Thaane" of 2018 hit comedy movie, Theevandi. The song was the top chartbuster of the year and also bagged him the prestigious Kerala state film awards for best lyricist. Now he is one of the most profile lyricists of Malayalam cinema. Several of his works are now considered modern classics of playback music.
Paadunnu Priya Raagangal... (Ezra), Hridayavaathil... (C/o Saira Banu) etc are some of his popular songs. He penned lyrics for more than 200 film songs, and his songs are featured in movies such as Paavada, Puthenpanam, Sakhavu, CIA, Adventures of Omanakuttan, Rakshadikari Baiju (Oppu), Tiyaan, The Great Father and Georgettante Pooram. His career spans to 1 decade now, and he took many years for the lyricist to establish in Malayalam. The viral song - "Jeevamshamayi Thaane" paved way for it.
B. K. Harinarayanan hails from Kunnamkulam of Thrissur district, Kerala. He began his innings in Mollywood with the songs for Prithviraj-starrer The Thriller (2010). In year 2020 he completed a decade in the industry. He became an established lyricist only in 2018, though he has been associated with many Prithviraj movies earlier – Paavada, Theeyan and his debut work - The Thriller, to mention a few.
He honed his poetic skills through the art of aksharaslokam (sloka chanting). As he belonged to an orthodox family of Vedic priests he started learning sloka at a young age. In fact he started learning Sanskrit poems at the age of 4 from his father and uncles. He by-hearted around 1500 slokas at a young age, which later formed the foundation of his lyrics. He started off by writing poetry for Malayalam literary magazines, which later paved his way to films.
