Thadi Balaji is an actor associated with Tamil movies and television. He is a TV anchor too. He marked his acting debut with 1997 film Nandini, and has later done numerous character roles. He also did a few roles on small screen. Naduvula Konjam Disturb Pannuvom is one among his most popular TV shows as an anchor, and this show helped him to gain recognition and popularity. He also received nomination for the Vijay Television Awards for Favourite Anchor Male for this show. Thadi Balaji co-anchors this show with Erode Mahesh. He was one among the judges in the comedy premiere show, Kalakka Povathu Yaaru? As per latest biz, he is to participate in Bigg Boss Season 2, alongside his estranged wife.

He is also known as Dhadi Balaji. He was born in Chennai in 1978. Thadi Balaji started his career in the late 1990s in supporting roles on big screen. He also started doing television roles after some time. He was seen in TV serial Mayavi Marichan in 1999. This particular role gave him a breakthrough and more roles from television as well as film industry. He played supporting comedian roles in a series of films. Nilaave Vaa, Vaali, Thulladha Manamum Thullum, Poovellam Kettuppar, Thamizhan etc some of his early roles. Saravanan Irukka Bayamaen, Kaththi Sandai, Lingaa etc are some of his recent roles.

Slowly he gained foot in television industry as an RJ, apart from a few acting roles. He along with Erode Mahesh anchored the show, Naduvula Konjam Disturb Pannuvom, and it was a huge success. There was no turning back, and he went on to become a celebrity on Tamil small screen. He is married to Nithya, and it was a love marriage. However it created a lot of stir in the industry when Nithya claimed that she is facing physical abuses from her husband. But Balaji refused the allegations. The couple has one daughter.
