Suvarna Mategaonkar Biography 
Suvarna Mategaonkar is an Indian singer from Nagpur, Maharashtra. She has performed in many stage programs of Marathi and Hindi film songs, and has got opportunity to perform with veteran Manna Dey whenever he used to perform in Pune circle. Her daughter Ketaki Mategaonkar is also a singer and actor, and mother-daughter duo has performed together for singing concerts. Other leading co-artists include - Hridaynath Mangeshkar, Suresh Wadkar, Hrishikesh Ranade, Jitendra Abhyankar, Shreedhar Phadke, Arun Date, Shrinivas Khale, Vibhavari Apte Joshi, Prashant Naseri, Anil Mohile etc. She has released a few popular music albums and rendered her voice for a few Marathi film songs too.
Suvarna is an accomplished singer whose melodious voice coupled with strong foundation of classical music. Mategaonkar is a professional singer based out of Nagpur, Maharashtra. Later she shifted from Nagpur to Pune in the 1990s, when she didn’t know anyone in this big city. Without any guide or guidance she proved her mettle independently. Her singing talents have been highly appreciated by some of the leading artists of Indian music industry like Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhosle. Apart from music concerts, she has been regular in television music shows for Zee Marathi, ETV Marathi etc. Shadhja Gandhar, Soortaal, Nakshatranche Dene, Maaze Gaane etc are some of TV shows where she was featured as a singer.
She is a recipient of Sudhir Phadke Award, Sarathi Award, Ram Kadam Award, Usha Atre Wagh Award and many more. Mazech geet me mhante, Sanjar gudhe talashi and Aabhalachi vari are her released albums. Some of her popular songs are Siddhi buddhi, Yeil yeil sajan maza, Sapanat aala tumhi, Maaj chahul dete kahi, Door ja tu door ja, Tula dyayache aahe, Mazech geet me mhante, Tichya til gali etc.
