Sunitha Sarathy Biography 
Sunitha Sarathy is a popular singing voice of south India. She is equally verse in Indian contemporary and Western Classical Music and also sings for Church choirs. She debut playback singing in the year 2002 and owns many super hit songs. "Maaro Maaro" of Boys and "Hey Goodbye Nanba", "Fanaa" of Ayutha ezhuthu are her early hits, composed by Rahman. She won the "Virgin Voice Choice" contest of Channel V and Virgin Records in the year 2000, which gave her opportunity to movies.
Sunitha’s family is verse in classical jazz and she too began her singing in choirs at the age of 4. Her mother, Susheela Sarathy is a pianist and conductor choirs at Santhome Church and Lazarus Church. As a choir artist, Sunitha gained everyone’s attention quickly. Biggest career break happened in the form of "Virgin Voice Choice" contest where she emerged first from 1500 shortlisted candidates. Noticing her singing talent, singer Srinivas invited her to sing a bit for the song, "Ini Naanum Naanillai" in the movie, Yei! Nee Romba Azhagey Irruke. The other co-singer was Sujatha Mohan. Till then, she has sung more than 200 film songs. After a couple of songs, her first hit song came in the form of composer Harris Jayaraj’s tune. The song was the item number, "Thoodu Varuma" of Kakka Kakka. It was followed by songs of Boys and Yuva.
In 2002, she sang the song, "Give me Hugs" for the national award winning English movie – Mitr – My friend. She got her first Filmfare nomination in the year 2010 for the Telugu song, Hey CM of the movie – Leader. She sang hit Malayalam songs like "Shaaba Shaaba" of Runway and "He Dil Deewana" of Twenty 20. Her other top songs include - "Paathi Kaadhal" of Modhi Vilayadu, "Ivanthaana" of Kaadal, "Chinna Chinna" of Kana kandein, “The Rise of Damo" of 7am arivu and "Andathanama" of Telugu movie, Gharshana.
