Suhani Dhanki Biography

Suhani Dhanki is a popular actress associated with Hindi television industry, best known for the role as Maya in Adhuri Kahaani Hamari and Chandni in the Zee TV soap opera Piyaa Albela. Currently she plays the female lead role of Princess Laachi in Sony’s historical drama Porus aired since 2017. She was first seen in 2013 mythological series Mahabharata aired on Star Plus, where she played the role of princess Madri. Later she played parallel lead in Adhuri Kahaani Hamari and a dancer’s role in Piyaa Albela. In 2018 she won Best Television Actress Award given by 9th Newsmakers Achievers’ Awards for her lead role in Porus. The show also marked the comeback of the actress to mini screen.

Suhani Dhanki hails from Mumbai, Maharashtra. She is a classical dancer who performs Bharathnatyam, apart from a well-known actress of small screen. She trained this classical dance form from Dr. Sandhya V. Pureccha. She is married to Prathmesh Modi since December 2017. The actress has been dating the financial consultant in London for a year before she tied knot. The wedding was held in Gujarati style in Mumbai. Started her career with mythological series, Mahabharata in a supporting role, she later played lead and supporting role several times.

Currently playing the lead role in Porus, the actress has certified that she has not used body double for doing stunt scenes in the series. The actress gained immense popularity through this series in the recent times. She practiced hours of horse riding, sword fighting, exercises that are extreme, underwater swimming and much more as a part of preparation of the role. Her character has a romantic side too.
