Srujan Lokesh Biography

Srujan Lokesh is a film actor, television host, radio presenter and producer, most known for his association with Kannada language. He is the son of Lokesh, a veteran film and theater artist from Kannada, known for the movies - Bhootayyana Maga Ayyu, Kaadu and Kaakana Kote. His mother Girija Lokesh is a film and television actress and a film director. He is grandson of Subbaiah Naidu, who is credited to be first hero of Kannada silent movies. His sister Pooja Lokesh is a popular TV actress of Kannada language. Srujan’s wife Greeshma is a theater personality, television actress and kathakali dancer.

 

Srujan Lokesh was born in Bangalore, Karnataka on June 28, 1980. He was brought up in an environment filled with films and theaters artists and so, from an early age Srujan decided to join film industry. He completed degree from SSMRV College, Bangalore in the year 2001. Srujan Lokesh started his acting career from the movie Neela Megha Shayama in 2002. Earlier he has worked as a child artist in movies - Veerappan in the year 1989 and Bhujangayyana Dashavathara in year 1991. Radhika Kumarswamy was the female lead role of his debut movie as a hero. But the movie was a failure and he switched on to supporting roles and cameo appearances. He acted in movies like e Porki, Navagraha, Chingari, Edegarike, Andhar Bahar, Snehitaru, IPC section 300 etc.

 

Meanwhile he started his television career and became a popular anchor. Sye - a dance reality show was one of the early shows he hosted. Maja with Sruja – is the most popular program as a television host. In 2013, Srujan Lokesh signed up for his second movie, Aane Pataaki as full-fledged hero.
