Sriram Parthasarathy Biography 
Sriram Parthasarathy is a playback singer who predominantly works in Tamil cinema. He shot to fame after singing the song, Suttum Vizhi Choodare from Ghajini in 2005, which earned him Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Male Playback. Elangathu Veesudhe of National award winning movie Pithamagan, Azhagiya Thamizh Magan of Kellaamal and "Aanandha Yazhai" from the movie Thanga Meengal (2013) are other noted tracks. He is married to popular playback singer, Srilekha Parthasarathy, whom he calls his best critic. He is a great fan of the legendary composer Isaignani Ilaiyaraaja and loves the magical voice of S P Balasubramaniam. Sriram is also known as an accomplished classical vocalist and veena player.
He was born in Tamil Nadu on 14 January 1976 in a musical family. His father Veena R. Parthasarathy is well known as Paacha in the music arena. Sriram started identifying swaras at the age of 3. He grew up hearing the depth and sweetness of Veena from his father and grandfather. His grandfather Veena V. Raghavan taught students at home full time and thus young Sriram was brought up in a musical atmosphere. He learnt Carnatic vocal music from O. S. Thyagarajan and later he got opportunity to study under R. Neyveli Santhanagopalan. He also learnt mrudangam from the legendary artist, Karaikudi Mani. Later too he continued learning music under many well-known artists.
He performed in a concert for the first time at the age of 10 and till now, he has performed in numerous concerts across the world. He was initiated to film world by music director Vidyasagar. He sang the popular track, "Pudhu Malar Thottu" of Poovellam Un Vasam marking his successful debut to playback singing. It was followed by successful tracks of Pitamagan and Ghajani which brought him to lead.
